Looking for a bike-friendly place to stay? Check out The Bike Inn Bentonville! In this review, I cover what I love, what could be better, and more.
I’ve been coming back to Bentonville, Arkansas every year since 2020 for the amazing mountain bike trails. It’s one of my all-time favorite places to ride! One of the coolest things about this NWA town is all the infrastructure and businesses that support mountain bikers – visitors and locals alike. So when I heard that there was a hotel that specifically caters to mountain bikers, I knew I had to check it out!
The Bike Inn Bentonville opened its doors in 2021 after owner Jeremy finished renovating the old Pines Inn Motel. A mountain biker himself, he made sure to include all the unique amenities mountain bikers require: secure bike storage, a bike wash and tool station, and even a vending machine to buy basic bike supplies like chain lube and chamois cream in case you forgot yours at home.
During one of my recent trips to Bentonville, I had the pleasure of staying at The Bike Inn Bentonville and in this post, I share my honest review of my two-night stay.

What I Loved about the Bike Inn Bentonville
There’s a lot to love about staying at The Bike Inn Bentonville. Here are a few things that stood out to me:
The room details
I love good design and cozy vibes when I’m staying at a hotel or Airbnb and the Bike Inn definitely delivers on that. The rooms are modern and chic with nice touches throughout like bike art, old bike tools and parts on display, comfortable furniture, and overall just a nice design. Each room also has great AC and wifi.
I stayed in the “Boujee Bike Suite” which has a full living room, kitchen, and master suite.
Here are a few more room details I loved:
The variety of rooms & Accommodation
The Bike Inn Bentonville isn’t just a hotel/motel. There are glamping pods, van spaces, a cottage, and you can even rent out the whole place if you want. It’s a great place for all types of travelers and budgets.
Glamping pods
These 4 super cute glamping pods are the newest addition to the Bike Inn Bentonville. Jeremy and his wife were actually just getting them set up when I stayed, so I had a peek before they were ready to go.
Each pod has a double bed, AC, and an outdoor deck with chairs. They are pretty tiny, but you’re going to be out on the trails all day anyway, right? They’re also really cute!
For bathrooms and showers, there’s a building with two indoor showers/bathrooms just a short walk away. These facilities are shared with all the pods and van campers.
Van camping
Bike Inn Bentonville has 2-3 van camping spots next to the pods that accommodate up to 25′ rigs. Each pull-in has electrical hookups and there’s water on site to fill up tanks. Like the pods, van campers can use the indoor bath/shower house or there’s also an outdoor shower. However, there is no dump station and tents are not allowed.
the Amenities
One of the best parts about staying at the Bike Inn Bentonville is taking advantage of all the cool features and amenities!
What Could Be Better
The Location
The Bike Inn Bentonville is located directly off Walton Boulevard about 2.5 miles south of downtown.
To be honest, the location isn’t fantastic.
It’s not really near the ‘highlights’ of Bentonville like the downtown square or Crystal Bridges museum and you need to pedal a few miles to get to any actual trails. Furthermore, the motel is situated right off a busy main road and it can be noisy.
While I didn’t love the location, I wouldn’t say it’s a deal breaker. Just know that you will probably end up driving to most places including the trails, restaurants, bike shops, etc…
Bike Inn Bentonville distance to:
- 3.7 miles to Coler Preserve:
- 1.8 miles to Slaughter Pen Trails
- 11 miles to Bella Vista (Little Sugar, Blowing Springs, Back 40 trails)
- 2.5 miles to downtown Bentonville
Kitchen organization & Functionality
My room was very clean, as would be expected, but I did find that the drawers and cabinets in the kitchen were in a bit of disarray with random leftover cups, plates, and utensils stashed everywhere.
For cooking, the Suite and Cottage do have little portable gas stoves as well as a few pots and pans, but I think it would be challenging to cook anything more elaborate than some simple pasta or scrambled eggs.

My Overall Take
I was really impressed with the Bike Inn Bentonville and I’ll definitely stay there again when I find myself back in Bentonville.
I think they did a great job with renovating the old motel and they’ve really thought of all the important things mountain bikers need like a bike wash station, tools, and comfy beds.
The location was the one downside, but Bentonville isn’t huge, so it’s still easy to get downtown and access the trails.
The Bike Inn has only been open since September 2021, so I get the feeling that Jeremy and his wife are still getting things set up the way they want. I’m excited to see where they take it!
