I started Two Wheeled Wanderer as a way to help people like you get out and explore the world on two wheels.
Since I hit publish on my first blog post in 2019, Two Wheeled Wanderer has gone through many iterations and grown into something that I’m proud of and love putting my time and energy into.

Rainbow Mountain isn’t the kind of place I’d seek out normally (too touristy) but we had the option to add it on to our Ausangate bikepacking route and I’m so glad we did! It was a hike-a-bike to get there (up and down…), but it made for a very memorable end to our trip 🚲

I’ve done a lot of bikepacking trips, but the Ausangate Circuit was the most epic and hardest adventure I’ve done to date. I LOVED it!
We spent 5 days surrounded by glaciers, jagged peaks, llamas, alpine lakes, and wilderness. It was more beautiful (and challenging) than I imagined.
The whole route was only about 65.5 miles, but let me tell you – pedaling (and sleeping) at 16,000 feet is pretty brutal. All of the climbs were hike-a-bikes but (almost) all the descents were worth it 😁
What a way to kick off my next three months in South America!

We traveled through 8 countries, pedaled almost 4,000km (big kudos to all the riders!), experienced the beauty and hospitality of rural and urban Europe, and – of course – ate lots of delicious food. What a way to see Europe!
