So you want to get a van and hit the road to visit all the awesome mountain bike destinations around North America (or whatever continent you’re on)? Awesome! I fully support that dream. We’ve been doing mountain bike trips in our van, Bandit, for about a year and it’s been amazing. I previously wrote a post about Bandit our van and included a few of the modifications and upgrades we made to it in the first few months after purchasing it (and why its name is Bandit :). We purchased our Winnebago Travato about six months ago and while it has been an amazing way to road-trip with our bikes, there have been some things we’ve needed to upgrade and move around. Most notably the hitch rack saga. We’ve also done a lot to organize the van and create a dialed road-tripping machine.
