It’s time to put the lady shredders in the spotlight. There are thousands of hours of mountain bike videos swirling around the internet, but a fraction of those clips are women. These six videos prove that it’s not only dudes who can ride bikes.

7 Badass Mountain Bike Videos – Female Edition
As I was searching for rad mountain bike videos – and there are plenty of them out there – I was a bit appalled at how scarce female faces are among the plentitude of dudes. There are hundreds, actually probably thousands, of hours of really awesome footage capturing really awesome people doing really awesome things on a mountain bike. BUT only a milifraction of that footage showcases women. I get that the sport is still dominated by men, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t rad women shredders out there who can preform just as well as men in front of a camera. So I’ve put together a list of a few of my favorite mountain bike videos that showcase the talents of women riders. Let’s keep ‘em coming.
1. Downtime with Tahnee Seagrave
I love this video because it feels authentic. Tahnee Seagrave is no doubt a badass DH biker, but she seems so down to earth and kinda quirky. Plus, she eats avocado toast, so we (and a million other people) must be bff’s. Glad to see that’s she’s back racing the World Championship finals in Quebec this weekend!
2. Corbet’s Couloir with Casey Brown
When I first watched this video, I had no idea who Casey Brown was. I just assumed it was another dude with long hair doing some stupid shit. But, nope. Casey Brown is a badass female mountain biker who can keep up with the best of the best. She even sends this drop bigger than her stunt-mate, Cam McCaul.
3. Ferda Girls with Micayla Gatto
This video is the bomb. How many times have you had bro-bikers push their way in front just as you’re about to drop in because they ‘assume’ they’re faster than you? Yeah… I have too. It’s obnoxious. We need more women in the sport and these ladies are the inspiration.
4. Trek ft. Casey Brown
I gotta be honest. This video kind of annoys me because it so obviously mirrors Danny Macaskill’s The Ridge. But, that being said, the cinematography is still pretty awesome and Casey Brown is a badass. So it’s worth watching.
5. Rachel Atherton’s 2018 Winning run in La Bresse
So smooth, so confident, such a talented rider. Not much else to say.
6. Moksha – Freedom Through the Mountains
Moksha is a film documentary about three Nepali women mountain bikers who have dedicated their lives to spreading the joy of mountain biking to women across the Himalayas. Watch it. It’s incredibly inspiring.
7. Originate
In October 2019, six phenomenal women riders met up in Virgin, Utah where they took over the 2015 Red Bull Rampage site and revamped it into a women’s freeride course. To date, no woman has ever competed in the Red Bull Rampage competition, but these ladies want to change that. Hopefully this inaugural camp will pave the way for future female riders that are looking to compete in the sport.
